Job Description
- Drive a group of National Sales Managers & their teams for:
- Achievement of annual targets as per budgeted monthly phasing and growths.
- Development and execution of sales strategies to achieve revenue goals in the acute and sub chronic therapy segment
- Qualitative development of portfolio with maximization of legacy brand growth and new product success for market share as per marketing strategy plans.
- Geographic development of sales distribution and divisional footprint across the country as per market potential
- Development of customer relationships by way of scientific and promotional means strategized as per field hierarchies.
- Market beating sales volumes, prescriber and prescription growths.
- Rigorous execution of marketing plans in time bound manner as per marketing plans.
- Stimulate and facilitate execution of various clinical, educational (CMEs,etc), patient acquisition initiatives as per marketing plans and in alignment with Corporate Communications.
- Development and sustenance of KOL relationships, enabling scientific image building for business returns.
- Designing of field strategies for continuity of territorial business to arrest field attrition.
- Enhancement of trade partner relationships for higher influence for strong partnerships (Stockist's and CFA's) to grow business volumes.
Stakeholder & Collaboration:
- Stay up to date on industry trends and competitor activity.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders to identify business priorities and drive Sales strategies & programs with the objective of helping the organization meet its strategic goals
- Effectively engage business verticals of Sales, Customer Marketing, Distribution, Route-To-Market and Go-To-Market.
- Identify New Business Opportunities & Develop Key Opinion Leaders (General Practitioners, CP, Paed, ENT, Gynae, Urologist and Gastro etc)
- Medico Marketing Activities and Sales Force Effectiveness teams.
- Representing the company at industry events and trade shows
- Review operational practices, create, and enforce compliance plans (UCGMP guidelines), and perform regulatory risk management by keeping abreast of regulatory changes and developments in the regulatory environment
- Through market research teams analysis to identify new sales opportunities.
- Manage the budget for the acute therapy segment & oversee the development and execution of marketing campaigns, CME's.
- Participate in marketing planning by providing market / field inputs for consideration and evaluation for further strategizing and promotional planning by PMT.
Team Development and culture:
- Creating a learning culture in collaboration with the L&D teams through in-house online learning and partnering with Sales HRBP for retention of FSO's including high PHY/PCPM HQs.
- Inculcation of scientific promotional orientation in field staff.
- Inculcation of achievement orientation and ambition driven working culture while ensuring Field Hygiene.
- Leadership bench for promotions and future higher roles in field management through existing internal Talent Management Program.
- Inculcation of discipline and hygiene as core virtues in working and day-to-day operations
- Focus on team stabilization and retention for long term employee association
- Guiding field managerial hierarchies for skills in leading teams as per current generation employee behaviors, commitment levels, capabilities, volatility, attention spans.
The Successful Applicant
- Qualified Science Graduate / B. Pharm with a Management Degree from an institute of repute
- Minimum 20 yrs+ experience in Pharma Formulation multi-Specialty (not Chronic) business having worked with top and reputed Indian multinationals will be desired.
- Prior demonstrated success of managing minimum 600 Cr P&L of the Acute therapy segment is essential.
- Strong understanding of the acute therapy market is essential with innate appreciation for innovator molecules (desirable)
- Highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a passion for sales
- Skilled in Business Development and Sales management Strategies to drive Top Line and Bottom-Line achievement, P&L Management as per brand profitability, Sales Force Effectiveness to better productivity parameters (PHY/PCPM), New Product go-to-market Launches to make it a success, New Market Development, Opex Control, Stockist Management Strategy (A B C Classification) and reward programs.

- Result and execution focused - Ability and drive for achieving and surpassing targets by adopting the Corporate Marketing and Sales strategy. Should lead by example ensuring "feet on ground" execution.
