We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Architect with deep healthcare industry expertise to lead cloud architecture initiatives for our healthcare domain clients.
This role requires a unique blend of advanced Azure cloud architecture skills and comprehensive understanding of healthcare technology landscapes, compliance requirements, and industry-specific challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Architecture & Strategy :
- Design and implement enterprise-level Azure cloud architectures for healthcare organizations.
- Develop cloud migration strategies and roadmaps for healthcare systems and applications.
- Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance on Azure best practices.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that meet healthcare industry demands.
Healthcare Domain Expertise :
Architect solutions that comply with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, and other industry standards.Design secure data architectures for handling Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Health Records (EHR).Integrate with healthcare systems such as EHR platforms, PACS, LIS, RIS, and other clinical applications.Implement HL7 FHIR standards and healthcare interoperability solutions.Support telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, and digital health initiatives.Technical Leadership :
Collaborate with healthcare clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Lead technical discussions with C-level executives, IT directors, and clinical stakeholders.Mentor development teams and provide architectural oversight throughout project lifecycles.Conduct proof-of-concepts and technical feasibility assessments.Drive adoption of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.Client Engagement & Partnership :
Serve as the primary technical advisor for BlockTXM's healthcare client partnerships.Participate in pre-sales activities, solution presentations, and RFP responses.Build strong relationships with client technical teams and key stakeholders.Provide ongoing architectural support and optimization recommendations.Required Qualifications :
Azure Expertise :
8+ years of experience in cloud architecture with 5+ years specifically focused on Microsoft Azure.Azure certifications required : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).Additional Azure certifications preferred : Azure Security Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer.Expert-level knowledge of Azure services including but not limited to :Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway.Azure Active Directory, Azure AD B2C, Identity and Access Management.Azure Security Center, Key Vault, Azure Sentinel.Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database.Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances.Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.Azure DevOps, ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform.Healthcare Industry Experience :
5+ years of hands-on experience working with healthcare organizations (hospitals, health systems, payers, or healthcare technology vendors).Deep understanding of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2, FedRAMP).Experience with healthcare data standards and interoperability (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, X12).Knowledge of EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, AllScripts, or similar platforms).Understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical processes, and regulatory environments.Experience with healthcare-specific security and privacy requirements for cloud deployments.Technical Skills :
Strong expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps).Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps).Experience with API management, microservices architecture, and event-driven architectures.Understanding of data governance, data lakes, and analytics platforms.Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability design patterns.(ref : hirist.tech)
