Python Lead / Architect

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Python Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Python frameworks, strong understanding of system architecture, and the ability to guide teams in implementing robust, maintainable, and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

Define the architectural vision, design principles, and technical roadmap for Python-based applications.

Lead and mentor engineering teams in designing scalable and secure backend solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams — Product, DevOps, and Data Engineering — to translate business requirements into technical designs.

Evaluate and recommend appropriate frameworks, tools, and technologies aligned with project goals.

Design and optimize microservices, APIs, and data models for high availability and performance.

Ensure best practices in coding, testing, CI / CD, and system integration.

Perform code and architecture reviews to maintain high technical quality.

Work closely with DevOps for deployment automation, monitoring, and observability.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and architectural risks.

Stay up to date with emerging Python technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in backend development with at least 3+ years in a Python Architect or similar leadership role.

Strong expertise in Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Proven experience in microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

Proficiency in database design — both SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB / Redis).

Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming, Celery, Redis, or RabbitMQ.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Git, and modern deployment workflows.

Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
