Role Description

This is a contract-based Food Technologist role with remote work arrangements. The Food Technologist will conduct research and development for innovative food products, perform sensory evaluations, and oversee quality control processes. Day-to-day tasks also include collaborating with vendors and flavoring houses, utilizing laboratory techniques for food testing, and ensuring product compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Food Technology and Research and Development (R&D)

Proficiency in Sensory Evaluation to assess and improve product quality

Hands-on experience with Laboratory Skills and Quality Control processes

Attention to detail and an understanding of food industry regulations and compliance

Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field

Experience with flavor development or working with flavor houses is a plus
