THE ROLE :
We are seeking an exceptional Maintenance Supervisor to lead a Mechanical Maintenance team for a well established Pharmaceutical Manufacturer based in South East Melbourne.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the purpose of the Maintenance Supervisor is to achieve engineering / maintenance targets and implement a preventive maintenance culture through a diverse team of people providing leadership and guidance in GMP, OHS and cost control.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE; BUT NOT LIMITED TO :
Ensures all maintenance tasks are executed using the appropriate safety standards and are compliant with policies, regulations and SOP’sEnsure that Maintenance Department targets are being met such as minimum down time and break downsConducting root cause analyses to identify machinery issues and diagnostic supportSupervise maintenance processes so that all works are completed as efficiently as possible and to the required quality standardsReview standard maintenance tasks and other relevant documents and to drive continuous improvement and efficiencyManage the Mechanical maintenance team via effective training, mentoring, coaching, motivating, performance managing and communicationMaintain an understanding of the principles of GMP as applied to plant and equipmentTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE / BE :
Tertiary qualified in Engineering or Trade qualified in mechanicalExperience in Pharmaceutical / Food or other FMCG industry within a development in a maintenance / production environmentExperience in a team leader or supervisor role in a maintenance environmentDemonstrated knowledge of GMP principles and OH&S requirementsSound understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (SAP preferred)Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills with the proven ability to coach and mentor staffExcellent organisational, planning / resourcing and time management skillsBe Proactive and Self-motivatedHonest, enthusiastic and willing to learnHave great attention to detail and be able to prioritise effectively and to adapt to changing prioritiesAble to set up new systems and review existing systems for continual improvementDon't miss out on an amazing opportunity for a well known pharmaceutical company!
