We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Automation Quality Engineer to join our Growth E2E Quality Engineering team. The team validates our end to end flows with new Marriott partners or acquisitions to ensure all technology works seamlessly across the travel journey.

Candidate will work across multiple products & engineering teams to lead automation strategy and execution for QE end-to-end testing. Drive test planning, script development, and integration of automated tests into CI / CD pipelines. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.

Job Responsibilities :

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Test Preparation

Test Execution :

  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end flows.
  • Participate in test planning and contribute to automation strategy.
  • Lead development and maintenance of automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Drive automation strategy and participate in test planning for quarterly releases.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines and ensure reliability.
  • Execute manual test cases across multiple systems and user personas (Guest and Associate).
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results.
  • Review and interpret test scripts and associated data requirements.
  • Document test activities and support defect management.
  • Analyze test results, report defects, and support resolution.
  • Mentor junior automation engineers and testers.
  • Collaborate with squad leaders and testers to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Assess and implement automation impact analysis for releases.
  • Contribute to process improvement and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for end-to-end flows.
  • Collaborate with testers and team leads to define automation scope and strategy for releases.
  • Identify test cases suitable for automation based on risk, complexity, and frequency.
  • Analyze requirements and system architecture to design effective automated test scenarios.
  • Clarify technical details with developers and product owners as needed.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for end-to-end flows using appropriate tools (e.g., TOSCA, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Review and update automation scripts to reflect changes in functionality or system architecture.
  • Develop or source test data required for automated test execution.
  • Ensure data is reusable and supports a variety of test scenarios.
  • Configure and validate automation frameworks and test environments.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines for continuous execution.
  • Maintain documentation for automation strategy, scripts, data, and environment setup.
  • Communicate automation readiness and any issues to squad leaders or senior team members.
  • Lead and contribute to test planning, including defining scope, objectives, and coverage for quarterly releases.
  • Design, develop, review, and modify test scripts and end-to-end flows to ensure comprehensive validation.
  • Execute complex test cases across systems and personas, identifying gaps and surfacing issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of test activities, defect submissions, and retesting outcomes.
  • Mentor junior testers, providing guidance on test planning, scripting, and execution.
  • Collaborate with squad leaders and automation engineers to align on best practices and test coverage.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, and training sessions.
  • Apply hospitality industry knowledge to enhance test scenarios and coverage.

Skill and Experience :

  • 4+ years in test automation and software testing.
  • Strong experience with automation tools (e.g., TOSCA, Selenium, Cypress).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Exposure with CI / CD tools and version control systems.
  • Exposure with Performance testing
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Education and Certifications :

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Work location : Hyderabad, India.
