Volt Money is in search of a skilled Software Development Engineer 2 (SDE 2) specialized in React Native to bolster our mobile development efforts. As part of our rapidly expanding team, you'll be instrumental in crafting cutting-edge mobile applications within the fintech domain. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of our products, collaborating closely with key stakeholders and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications using React Native.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, architect, and implement new features and enhancements.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and responsiveness of mobile applications across various devices and platforms.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and other technical issues.
  • Uphold codequality standards, promote best practices, and contribute to the evolution of development processes and tools.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to established standards and foster knowledge sharing.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development, and advocate for their adoption within the team.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+years of professional experience in mobile application development.
  • Proficiency in React Native and demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality mobile applications.
  • Strong command of JavaScript and its ecosystem, including ES6+ syntax and modern libraries / frameworks.
  • Familiarity with mobile development tools and technologies, such as Xcode, Android Studio, and relevant SDKs.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous request handling, and data management within mobile applications.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative workflows.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with native mobile development for iOS and / or Android platforms.
  • Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or MobX in the context of React Native applications.
  • Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like Jest and / or end-to-end testing frameworks like Detox.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and associated tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and articulate technical concepts.
