About the role

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior MERN & React Native Full Stack Developer who has end-to-end product lifecycle experience , has worked in fast-paced agile environments, and is comfortable owning features from planning to deployment. You will lead junior developers, perform code reviews, manage DevOps workflows , and take accountability for delivering high-quality, scalable features.

This is a full-time contract remote position that will require periodic onsite visits in Mumbai (for product alignment & team syncs). We are looking for someone who wants to associate long-term and play a key role in taking the product to the next level .

This role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute hands-on while also mentoring a team and driving technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

  • Lead development across MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js (MERN), and React Native
  • Architect, build & optimize scalable systems and microservices
  • Participate in end-to-end product lifecycle — planning, development, testing, deployment, maintenance
  • Build reusable front-end and backend components with clean architecture and secure coding practices

Leadership & Team Collaboration

  • Lead & mentor a team of junior developers
  • Conduct thorough code reviews , enforce best practices & ensure adherence to standards
  • Work closely with product, design & leadership teams for feature planning & releases
  • Take accountability for deliverables, timelines & quality

    • React Native & App Deployment

  • Build, maintain & optimize React Native applications
  • Familiarity with iOS & Android app publishing (App Store & Google Play)
  • Experience with OTA updates, build pipelines, code push, and bundle optimization

    • DevOps & System Administration

  • Experience with AWS services, CI / CD, and pipeline automation
  • Deploy & manage apps on AWS Linux servers
  • Hands-on with Nginx, Certbot SSL, domain routing & environment configuration
  • Monitor application performance, uptime & logging (CloudWatch / PM2 etc.)

    • Version Upgrade / Migration Experience

    Participated in and successfully delivered :

  • MongoDB upgrades
  • Node.js version upgrades
  • React & React Native upgrades
  • Library migration & dependency management
  • API versioning & backward compatibility

    • Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in MERN stack
  • Strong experience in React Native mobile development
  • Team leadership / mentoring experience
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, Payment Gateways, Third Party libraries
  • Git workflow + PR pipeline management
  • Strong debugging, profiling and performance optimization skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities independently and take ownership
  • Product-thinking mindset & experience working in a startup / agile environment

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with Docker / containerization
  • Familiarity with Golang
  • Experience with AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, SES
  • Exposure to CI / CD tools
  • Experience with third party integrations (payment gateways, SMS / email APIs, social auth, etc.)
  • Understanding of analytics tools (Firebase etc.)
  • Experience working on scalable multi-role platforms / marketplaces / SaaS
  • Knowledge of Postman / Swagger API documentation
