Job description

We are seeking a Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance in our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing safety protocols, conducting audits, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain site-specific safety protocols, including compliance with regulatory standards and company HSE policies, potentially including ISO 45001 or similar frameworks, as common across manufacturing settings.
  • Regularly conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations. Drive corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Deliver safety training sessions (e.g., PPE use, emergency response, safe equipment handling). Foster continuous safety awareness through workshops and campaigns, akin to roles in manufacturing hubs like Hosur.
  • Track and report incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and enforce preventive measures to avoid recurrences.
  • Ensure adherence to local laws, environmental regulations, and internal safety standards.
  • Maintain safety logs, inspection reports, compliance records, and training documentation.
  • Drive safety excellence by benchmarking against best practices, suggesting enhancements, and supporting digital safety systems similar to initiatives seen in Hosur's industrial roles.
  • Liaise with production, maintenance, HR, and other departments to ensure a cohesive safety strategy across operations.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Experience in conducting safety audits, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Ability to deliver effective safety training and foster a safety-conscious culture.
  • Strong skills in incident tracking, reporting, and root-cause analysis.
