We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer ITOM to join our IT Service Management (ITSM) and Operations team.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining IT Operations Management solutions, with a focus on automation, monitoring, orchestration, and integration of enterprise IT systems.
The Senior Developer will work closely with architects, IT operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient ITOM solutions that support business continuity, service reliability, and IT efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain ITOM solutions, including discovery, event management, service mapping, orchestration, and cloud management.
- Work with ITSM and ITOM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow ITOM, BMC Helix, Micro Focus, or equivalent) to deliver business-aligned solutions.
- Develop automation scripts, workflows, and integrations to streamline IT operations and improve service delivery.
- Configure monitoring and event management tools, integrating them with ITSM platforms for proactive incident and problem management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of ITOM solutions across the IT landscape.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and continuous improvement of ITOM modules.
- Document technical designs, configurations, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to ITOM implementations and integrations.
- Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies that enhance ITOM capabilities.
- Ensure solutions align with ITIL processes, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Work in Agile / DevOps environments and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.2-6 years of experience in IT development, with at least 4 years in ITOM solution design and development.Strong understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise IT environments.Experience working with ITOM / ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow ITOM, BMC Helix, Micro Focus, or equivalent.Proficiency in programming / scripting languages : JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting.Knowledge of REST / SOAP APIs and experience building system integrations.Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, SolarWinds, Dynatrace,AppDynamics).
Familiarity with CMDB design and integration.Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, and Service Management).Experience in Cloud operations (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Preferred / Good to Have :
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS ITOM) or equivalent certifications.ITIL v4 Certification.Experience in DevOps pipelines and CI / CD tools (Jenkins, Git, GitHub Actions).Exposure to container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).Knowledge of AIOps, machine learning in ITOM, and predictive monitoring.Soft Skills :
