Role Overview
We are seeking a Product Manager who can translate business goals into scalable, reliable, and secure product architectures. The role requires someone who can balance business context with deep technical insight—driving roadmaps, managing backlogs, defining architectures, and supporting customer onboarding for mission-critical communication systems.
This role will work closely with the Managing Director and CTO, ensuring that product vision, engineering execution, and customer delivery are aligned.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Planning & Roadmap
- Define and maintain the product roadmap aligned with company strategy.
- Manage product backlogs and release plans across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Translate business goals into technical deliverables, milestones, and sprint outcomes.
2. Customer Onboarding & Delivery
Oversee technical onboarding for enterprise customers—ensuring smooth integration, data mapping, and deployment.Collaborate with pre-sales and customer success teams to provide solution architecture support.Ensure delivery timelines and technical documentation are maintained throughout the onboarding lifecycle.3. Cross-functional Leadership
Coordinate with engineering, QA, pre-sales, and operations to ensure smooth delivery.Maintain technical and operational metrics—uptime, latency, error rates, and release quality.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and PMs in product and delivery practices.4. Architecture & Solutioning (Good to have)
Work with the CTO and engineering teams to design system architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance.Translate customer requirements into detailed technical solutions—especially in areas involving telephony, APIs, and messaging.Conduct design reviews, identify risks, and ensure alignment with long-term platform goals.Required Skills & Qualifications
12–15 years of experience in product, solution, or project management, preferably in enterprise software or telecom / VoIP platforms.Proven experience leading technical teams and driving end-to-end solution delivery.Certification : PMP, CSPO, or equivalent experience in Agile Product Delivery.Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to bridge business and technology conversations.Technical Stack Exposure (Good to have)
Backend : Linux, J2EE, Spring, Apache Software Foundation tools.Frontend : AngularJS, React.Telecom / Communication Stack : Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, OpenSIPs, SIP, VoIP, WebRTC.Databases : MySQL, MongoDB.Versioning & DevOps : Git, Jenkins, Docker, or similar tools (preferred).Why Phonon
