We’re Hiring : Finance Manager ( Portfolio Finance) | Prime Venture Partners 🧭 Reporting to : CFO Prime Venture Partners is looking for a Portfolio Finance Manager to partner closely with founders, strengthen finance capabilities across our portfolio, and elevate financial governance, data discipline, and commercial insights across early-stage companies. About the Role The Portfolio Finance Manager will act as the finance & commercial interface between Prime and our portfolio companies- spanning pre-investment, investment, and post-investment stages. You’ll help founders build strong financial systems, shape governance, manage key transactions, and drive performance across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Pre-Investment & Investment Support Drive financial & legal due diligence with founders and service providers Manage smooth closure of transactions up to fund wiring Help define key financial metrics and review processes Support cap-table management and follow-on round planning Portfolio Finance & Governance Act as an early-stage Finance Controller when required Build and maintain Prime’s portfolio finance database Develop portfolio engagement playbooks and automation tools Review financial metrics, governance practices, and reporting discipline Conduct special checks and interventions where needed Valuation & Transactions Review valuation updates and key business levers Support external valuation exercises for exits, secondary sales, and audits Coordinate on SHA matters, Board meetings, AGMs, and reserve matters Connect founders with relevant legal, audit, tax, and DD partners Community & Best Practices Build a finance community across the portfolio Facilitate cross-learning, rewards, recognitions, and recurring touch points Benchmark against VC industry practices and implement best-in-class standards Develop templates, processes, and foundational documentation What You Bring Post CA, 6+ years in finance roles (startups, internet companies, VCs preferred) Strong analytical, numerical, and data interpretation skills High intellectual curiosity + structured problem solving Hustle, ownership mindset, and ability to multitask 📩 Interested?
