About this Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the backend engineering efforts for our Payouts & Fiscal Systems pod. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of critical financial systems including driver payouts, merchant invoicing, reconciliation, and SLA enforcement. You will lead a team of high-performing engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, finance, operations, and platform engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a backend engineering team working on .NET based financial services
  • Drive execution of product and technical roadmaps aligned with company objectives
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of secure, scalable, and auditable systems
  • Provide architectural oversight and guidance for services handling fiscal operations, payout workflows, and accounting feeds
  • Mentor and grow engineers through regular feedback, coaching, and career development
  • Foster a strong culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and reliability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Ensure high standards of observability, SLA compliance, and system resiliency
  • Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in backend software engineering, including at least 3 years in engineering leadership roles
  • Strong experience with .NET / C# microservices architecture, and distributed systems
  • Proven experience managing financial, accounting, or payout-related systems
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, secure financial transaction flows, and reconciliation pipelines
  • Experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Hands-on experience with job scheduling, event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka), and CI / CD practices
