Responsibilities :
- Conduct clinical diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions
- Develop and implement community-based care plans
- Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments; provide psychotherapy where appropriate
- Offer counseling to patients and families, ensuring empathetic and culturally sensitive care
- Provide crisis intervention and manage suicide risk cases effectively
- Collaborate with social workers, nurses, NGOs, and other stakeholders in patient care
- Advocate for mental health awareness and promote community outreach programs
- Maintain accurate case documentation in line with legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g., MHCA 2017)
- Engage in outreach, rehabilitation, and follow-up services for underserved and vulnerable populations
