Manager, Global Workforce — Scholars Platform
Location : Remote (Global) — frequent overlap with Americas / EMEA time zones

Role summary
Lead end-to-end HR and operations for our global Scholars workforce — lifecycle management, compliance, vendor & program operations, and people analytics to scale a high-quality, compliant Scholars platform.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full Scholars HR lifecycle ( onboarding verification, engagement management, offboarding and audits).
- Build, run and continuously improve operational processes, SLAs and vendor relationships that support rapid scale while minimizing risk.
- Ensure local compliance across multiple markets (contracts, background checks, data / privacy) working with legal and external partners.
- Work with Workforce management and Talent Acquisition to help in design and operationalize workforce planning and capacity models for cyclical demand spikes and long-tail projects.
- Create and maintain dashboards and KPIs (cost per engagement, fill rates, quality metrics, retention, time-to-activate) and translate analytics into business recommendations.
- Partner with Product / Engineering to optimize platform flows (scholar experience, verification, payouts, issue resolution).
- Own escalations and continuous improvement for quality, fraud prevention and dispute resolution processes.
- Deliver training / materials, documentation for internal stakeholders and Scholars; run periodic program reviews and audits.
Must-have qualifications & skills
12+ years HR / people operations experience, with 2+ years managing large-scale global or distributed workforces / programs- must Americas and some areas in EMEAStrong operational mindset — proven experience building processes, playbooks and vendor programs that scale.Hands-on experience with HR analytics : building dashboards, defining KPIs and making data-driven recommendations.Solid knowledge of compliance and workforce operations across multiple geographies.Excellent stakeholder management — comfortable working with Legal, Finance, Product and regional HR teams.Strong written and verbal communication; able to produce crisp playbooks and run cross-functional workshops.Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change; high attention to detail.Nice-to-have
Direct experience with education, youth talent, internship or gig work programs.Experience in EMEA markets, India or APAC is a plus.Experience with HRIS / workforce-management platforms, payment systems and / or verification tools.Prior vendor management of background check, payment, or program service providers.Project management training and experience.Metrics of success (first 6 months)
