Job Role
The Senior consultant will be involved in providing objective advise, expertise, guidance and specialist skills with the aim of achieving the project targets. The Senior consultant will mainly work with the EY team to :
- Be part of the client engagements and lead specific work-streamsAdvice clients in designing and implementing the right sourcing model, including but not limited to shared services and outsourcingAssist clients through the transition journey including as-is assessment, vision development,
- business case development, target operating model design, sizing, location selection, performance management support, transition management, process review and continuous improvementAdvise clients on outsourcing deal setup best practices through RFP development, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, portfolio rationalization, benchmarking and end of term supportMap current processes & control systems and identify gaps and areas of improvement
- Support the Engagement Manager for activities such as engagement economics and receivables, project resources and team utilizationLead the delivery / execution of high-quality deliverables and manage service quality, brand and client expectationsContribute to brand development by writing articles, developing thought leadership and point-of-views
- Contribute to knowledge development and managementDemonstrate significant industry / solution expertiseAssist in resolving people issuesSupport people development through guidance and feedbackEnsure compliance to the firms standards, processes and policies
- Contribute to the firms initiatives in enhancing market leadership & growth, quality, people agenda and operational excellenceManage senior external / internal stakeholders independently
Professional Background
6 to 8 years of relevant post MBA experience - Consulting background (preferably) or Industry background (Outsourcing Advisory / Retained Organization Governance role / Outsourcing Service Provider Business Development team)Experience of executing projects in the area of outsourcing, sourcing strategy development or Outsourcing services salesProcess redesign experience in process areas like Lead to Order (L2O), Order to Cash (O2C), Record to report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), Hire to Retire (H2R) etcExperience in working on finance transformation, business case analysis and planning, Service sourcing, RfP process, Outsourcing / offshoring strategy and setup, Shared service or IT transformation or Design of SLAs, process KPIs and reporting requirementsIn-depth domain knowledge of Technology sectorShould have worked in any one or more of following sub-sectors of technology sector Global capability centres or SSCs, IT Services, Engineering services, BPO, Semiconductor, Devices, Hardware, Software, Internet and e-commerceKnowledge of current technology landscape, trends and solutionsRelevant consulting experience with Big 4 is preferredIndustry experience of managing functions under controllership, FP&A, Revenue mgmt , transactional finance, etcespecially within the professional services domainExposure to data management and analyticsPreferred Skills
