KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Support the growth and stewardship of the Adelaide Fringe Donor Circle, including donor acquisition, upgrades, and relationship management.
  • Coordinate donor engagement activities, including events, exclusive experiences, and fringe-related opportunities.
  • Manage donor acknowledgement processes to ensure consistent recognition across all platforms.
  • Support donor acquisition through research, outreach and diligent data management.

Fundraising Administration

  • Coordinate the planning, delivery and reporting of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and donor renewal cycles.
  • Maintain accurate donor records using the organisation’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Prepare reports, surveys, donor insights, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Grants & Proposal Support

  • Chair the internal fundraising working group with cross-departmental participation.
  • Maintain the grants register & projects portfolio and monitor deadlines and reporting requirements for grant-funded projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and acquittals across the organisation.
  • Coordinate compelling grant applications, funding proposals, reports, and acquittals for philanthropic partners, foundations, and major donors.
  • Events & Campaigns

  • Coordinate logistics for donor and fundraising events during the Adelaide Fringe season and throughout the year.
  • Manage RSVPs, guest liaison, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the wider Adelaide Fringe team to align donor experiences with the festival’s programming.
  • Collaborate with the Ticketing Team to deliver the Adelaide Fringe Community Fund strategy, including ticket allocation and stakeholder engagement with schools, charities, and NFPs
  • Support the Head of Philanthropy & Development, working in collaboration with the marketing team to develop engaging, innovative fundraising appeals throughout the year including but not limited to :

  • Gift in Will
  • Communications & Marketing

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop donor communications, such as eDMs, impact stories, and campaign collateral.
  • Contribute to storytelling efforts that highlight the impact of donor support, especially through community and artist-focused narratives.
  • General Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for donor and Foundation enquiries.
  • Support the wider BD Team with administrative and strategic tasks as needed.

  • ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising practices and donor relationships (minimum 5 years)
  • Knowledge of broad community attitudes particularly as they apply to the charity sector
  • Proven ability to negotiate, steward and support income streams through philanthropy
  • Ability to initiate, lead, plan, prioritise and organise work within a set timetable and in an environment of change and conflicting demands
  • Skills in program / project management, including facilitation, planning, development, monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to liaise and work effectively across Fringe and with external agencies and community groups
  • High level of attention to detail
