Peer Review Associate-Sage Open

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for managing manuscript submissions and transfers within Sage Track and Sage Path systems, ensuring compliance with submission criteria, accurate data transfer, and timely communication with authors and editors. The role supports the smooth processing of manuscripts across designated journals, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and professional correspondence throughout the peer review workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Review manuscripts submitted through Sage Track to ensure compliance with submission criteria.
• Invite and assign editors to appropriate journals based on author preferences or recommendations from AMEs.
• Track authors who have not submitted their manuscripts by the defined deadlines and follow up accordingly.
• Assist authors in processing papers transferred from Sage Path to destination journals.
• Initially manage submissions for broad journals, with scope to expand to other journals over time.
• Perform daily checks in the transfer folder of assigned journals to process Sage Path–transferred papers.
• Verify that all submission information has transferred accurately; fill in any missing details using available resources in Sage Path (training and guides will be provided).
• Use standardized email templates to contact authors for missing information and provide guidance throughout the submission process.
• Monitor unsubmitted Sage Path manuscripts in destination titles; proactively reach out to authors to offer support and resolve queries.
• Utilize ScholarOne (across multiple journals) and Freshdesk as primary operational tools.
• Generate periodic reports from Sage Track as required.
• Troubleshoot to ensure smooth functionality of the Sage Track site.
