Responsibilities :
Market Research and Strategy Development :
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities within the academic sector.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management :
Identify and target potential clients in Engineering Colleges, Non Engineering Colleges, and Schools.Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in academic institutions.Present and promote our products and services to prospective clients, highlighting their benefits and value.Field Visits and Networking :
Conduct regular field visits to academic institutions to establish and strengthen relationships.Participate in academic events, conferences, and seminars to network and promote our offerings.Leverage existing contacts and networks to generate leads and new business opportunities.Sales and Revenue Generation :
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue goals of the organization.Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.Client Support and Follow-up :
Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients and maintain regular follow-up to foster long-term relationships.Reporting and Documentation :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management review.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum 2+ years in business development, preferably within the academic sector.Education : Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.Required Skills :
Strong network of contacts within academic institutions.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
