Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) Consultant with strong expertise in rental contract management and end-to-end SD processes. The ideal candidate should have 8–9 years of experience in SAP SD, with at least 2–3 full-cycle implementations and solid exposure to support and enhancement projects .

The candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing rental sales, billing plans, contract profiles, and pricing structures to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. Experience with ALE / EDI integration , credit management , and cross-module integration (FI, MM, PP) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuration & Setup
  • Configure billing plans and assign contract profiles to sales document types for managing rental contracts.
  • Hands-on experience in :
  • Contract Profile Setup
  • Billing Plan Configuration
  • Item Category Linking
  • Rental Sales Order Creation
  • Billing Document Generation
  • Condition Technique and Pricing Configuration
  • Sales Order Management
  • Create and process rental sales orders using specific document types.
  • Ensure proper linkage of billing plans and rented materials for accurate revenue tracking.
  • Billing & Invoicing
  • Manage rental billing processes, including periodic invoice generation as per billing schedules.
  • Handle special billing requirements, credit notes, and adjustments.
  • Credit Management
  • Configure and manage Static and Dynamic Credit Management.
  • Ensure smooth integration of credit checks in the order-to-cash process.
  • Special Sales Processes
  • Configure and support Consignment Sales, Rush Orders, Intercompany Sales, Third-Party Sales, and Material Determination.
  • Manage Copy Controls and other custom scenarios as per business needs.
  • Cross-Module Integration
  • Work closely with FI, MM, and PP teams to ensure seamless data and process flow.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Understand and configure determination rules for pricing, output, and partner functions.
  • Manage and monitor batch jobs related to sales and billing.
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements.
  • Show willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving SAP technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8–9 years of experience in SAP SD with at least 2–3 end-to-end implementations.
  • Strong hands-on configuration experience in rental processes, billing plans, and pricing.
  • Working knowledge of ALE / EDI interfaces.
  • Deep understanding of credit management, special sales processes, and copy controls.
  • Strong integration experience with FI, MM, and PP modules.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across teams.
  • Good to Have

  • Exposure to S / 4HANA Sales and Fiori apps for Sales & Distribution.
  • Experience in automation of rental contract renewals and billing plan enhancements.
  • SAP certification in Sales and Distribution (SD).
