Blood bank supervisor is responsible for the following roles and responsibilities,
Maintains quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures; monitoring quality control measures and protocols.
- Regular follow up with the MNE during the breakdown of the machine.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and comply with HR policy on attendance.
- Demonstrate professionalism as a healthcare professional by being punctual and dependable for assigned / confirmed shifts
- Properly and accurately documents observations and other data related to the clinical condition of the patient and communicate to the Consultant.
- Complete record of patient details, date of collection, expiry date.
- Complete record of the total number of the procedures performed monthly
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations.
- Protects patients and co workers by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
- Follows hospital policy when disposing of BMW materials according to the BMW disposal protocols.
- Adheres and adapts to the SOPs, policies and procedures.
- Preserves and protects patient confidentiality in all situations and with all documentation.
- Enhances laboratory services and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Proper maintenance of the quality Indicators and its timely submission.
- Taking appropriate measures to further enhance the quality and improve the rating for the quality indicators.
Preferred candidate profile
Blood bank supervisor needs at least 10 years experience with 1 year as a supervisor.
