Emerson - Oracle Apps DBA Tools Lead

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Oracle Apps DBA Tools Lead to oversee the administration, optimization, automation, and tooling strategy for our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments. In this role, you will lead initiatives to modernize DBA operations, implement scalable automation frameworks, enhance system reliability, and ensure high availability of mission-critical applications and databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Applications, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps to deliver high-performing and integrated database solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage Oracle Apps DBA operations, ensuring stability, performance, and security of Oracle EBS R12 environments.
• Design and implement tools for automation, monitoring, patching, and performance optimization across application and database layers.
• Oversee installation, upgrades, cloning, patching, and migration activities for Oracle Applications and Oracle Databases (11g / 12c / 19c).
• Drive development of scripts, dashboards, and utilities using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ensure robust backup, recovery, DR strategies, and compliance with organizational security standards.
• Collaborate with application owners to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and enhance system functionality.
• Lead performance tuning efforts for both database and application tiers.
• Manage integrations with Oracle middleware, OID / OAM, WebLogic, Concurrent Managers, and workflow components.
• Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and reusable automation libraries.
• Mentor junior DBAs and guide the team on best practices and new Oracle features.
