Job Overview

We are looking for a talented

Web Developer with expertise in both WordPress and Shopify

to design, develop, and manage high-performing websites tailored to our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end and back-end development, with hands-on experience building custom WordPress themes / plugins and Shopify stores. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, user-friendly, and visually appealing web solutions that align with our brand and goals.

Key Responsibilities

Website Development :

Create and maintain responsive, pixel-perfect websites on WordPress and Shopify.

Theme & Plugin Customization :

Customize and develop WordPress themes / plugins and Shopify themes using Liquid.

Shopify Store Setup :

Build, configure, and manage Shopify stores, including app integrations and third-party tools.

Site Architecture :

Plan and implement efficient, scalable website architectures for both CMS platforms.

API Integration :

Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and plugins as needed.

Maintenance :

Regularly maintain and update existing websites for performance, security, and content updates.

Cross-Team Collaboration :

Work closely with UI / UX designers, content teams, and other developers to ensure cohesive and functional web delivery.

Troubleshooting :

Identify, debug, and resolve performance, UX, and integration issues across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

CMS Expertise :

Extensive hands-on experience with both

WordPress

and

Shopify .

Development Skills :

Strong command of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and MySQL.

Shopify Development :

Experience working with Shopify themes, Liquid templating language, and Shopify CLI.

Responsive Design :

Proven ability to build mobile-friendly, cross-browser compatible websites.

Version Control :

Familiarity with Git or similar tools for source control.

SEO Knowledge :

Understanding of SEO best practices and how they apply to web development.

Problem Solving :

Strong debugging, optimization, and analytical skills.

Communication :

Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Frameworks :

Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js is a plus.

E-commerce Platforms :

Knowledge of WooCommerce and Shopify app ecosystem.

Performance Tuning :

Experience optimizing website performance for speed and scalability.

Security :

Familiarity with web security best practices for WordPress and Shopify environments.
