The opportunity

• Leadership and Team Management :
• Lead and manage a team of supply chain, logistics, and operations professionals.
• Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring that the team is well-trained, motivated, and aligned with the company's strategic goals.
• Provide mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.
• Supply Chain and Logistics Strategy :
• Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics operations, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
• Oversee the design and execution of supply chain networks, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution channels.
• Ensure that logistics operations meet customer expectations, including timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
• Contract Management :
• Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of supply chain contracts with clients, suppliers, and vendors.
• Ensure that all contract terms are adhered to, with a strong focus on performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and compliance.
• Manage contract renewals, amendments, and dispute resolution, ensuring all parties meet their contractual obligations.
• Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement :
• Identify opportunities for process optimization across the logistics network.
• Introduce and manage technologies or software that improve operational efficiency, tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure that operational processes are scalable, flexible, and adaptable to changing business needs or customer demands.
• Cost Control and Budget Management :
• Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and cost optimization.
• Analyze supply chain costs and performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
• Monitor and report on operational performance against budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
• Risk Management and Compliance :
• Identify and manage operational risks within the supply chain, including those related to transportation, warehousing, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and mitigate any potential disruptions or supply chain failures that could impact service delivery.
• Customer Relationship Management :
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service quality.
• Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, issues, and concerns regarding logistics operations.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement based on customer feedback and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions.
• Data Analysis and Reporting :
• Use data analytics to monitor performance metrics and KPIs across the supply chain.
• Produce regular reports on operational efficiency, inventory levels, transportation costs, and delivery performance.
• Present operational insights and performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
• Technology Integration :
• Lead the adoption and implementation of new logistics technologies such as warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant tools.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in logistics and supply chain management to drive innovation.
