Overview :
L&T Semiconductor Technologies India is seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Electrical Design ENGINEER to join our growing team in Bangalore. This is a full-time role offering the opportunity to be deeply involved in the entire lifecycle of power module development—from initial product planning and design to final productization in collaboration with Japan team. This team will own the customer benchmarking and design roles for Power Modules targeted for Automotive, Energy ad Industrial usecases.

You will contribute to the core R&D capabilities of our organization, leveraging LTSCT’s cutting-edge technologies in power electronics, high-performance analog, and mixed-signal solutions.
Areas of Responsibility
Primary Objectives :
- Research, development and productization of IGBT power modules for multiple applications.
- Drive planning, development, and commercialization of next-generation GaN and SiC power modules.
Key Responsibilities :
Design activities for power module electrical designDesign and evaluate power module packages (IGBT / GaN / SiC), including Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs), with a focus on reliability and performance.Conduct simulations for thermal distribution, power budgeting, and mechanical stress analysis to optimize module design.Define and validate product quality through rigorous testing and specification development.Engineering tasks managementLead fast-paced, mission-critical development projects, ensuring timely delivery and technical excellence.Balance customer requirements with cost optimization to deliver competitive, specification-compliant designs.Promote and support market development of SiC and GaN modules by identifying potential applications and engaging with prospective customers.Experience & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Over 8 years of experience in product and circuit design, with a strong background in power electronics.Extensive hands-on experience in power circuit design, high-performance analog systems, and embedded mixed-signal solutions at both board and system levels.Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set clear priorities by agreement with Managers.Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across engineering, and other stakeholders.Excellent laboratory and troubleshooting skills.Fluency in Japanese language is an added advantageBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).Behavioral Qualifications
