Summary :
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Machinists. This role is critical to ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in the production of components and finished goods across various industries. Machinists are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a range of manual and automated machinery to cut, shape, and finish materials such as metal, wood, plastics, and textiles. The position demands technical expertise, adherence to strict safety and quality standards, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement. Success in this role contributes directly to operational excellence, product reliability, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Interpret job sheets, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to guide machining processes
- Prepare raw materials and set up machines for production, ensuring correct tooling and alignment
- Operate a variety of machinery including lathes, milling machines, grinders, CNC systems, presses, and industrial woodworking or sewing equipment
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make real-time adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and quality
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Comply with all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines

Trade qualification, formal apprenticeship, or equivalent training in machining, manufacturing, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a production, workshop, or manufacturing environmentProven experience operating CNC machinery or other specialized equipment is highly desirableStrong technical aptitude and ability to work with tight tolerances and precision measurementsExcellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detailPhysically capable of standing for extended periods and handling heavy materials safelyDemonstrated commitment to safety, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risksEffective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced production settingValid English language certification (PTE / IELTS) is mandatoryWorking Conditions & Other

Indicative pay : Starting from NZD $31.61 per hour (as per INZ median wage requirement),
commensurate with skills, experience, and industry
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in bricklaying and construction Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints Strong understanding of building materials, techniques, and safety protocols Proficient in English; ability to communicate clearly in a work environment Arabic language skills are preferred but not mandatory Physically fit and capable of working in various weather conditions and construction settings
