Murex Testing Lead - Perm or Contract

Location : Bangalore, India

Contract Type : Permanent OR Contract

We are seeking an experienced

Murex Testing Lead

to oversee the quality assurance and testing activities for Murex system implementations, upgrades, and integrations. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge of the Murex platform, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record of leading testing teams within complex trading or risk environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the end-to-end testing lifecycle across multiple Murex projects (System, Integration, Regression, and UAT).

Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and detailed test scripts aligned to project requirements.

Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and QA teams to ensure complete test coverage.

Manage defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution through tools such as JIRA or HP ALM.

Validate data integrity and interface functionality between Murex and external systems (risk engines, market data, accounting).

Support automation initiatives and continuous integration testing where applicable.

Produce regular progress reports and maintain strong communication with project and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience :

Experience testing or implementing

Murex

solutions.

In-depth understanding of

front-to-back trade flows , including Trading, Risk, Operations, and Accounting.

Strong knowledge of

SQL

for data validation.

Familiarity with

Unix / Linux ,

JIRA ,

Confluence , and

HP ALM .

Experience managing testing resources (onshore / offshore) and delivering under tight deadlines.

Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred : Exposure to

automation frameworks

(Tosca, Selenium, etc.).

Experience within

energy trading

environments.

Understanding of

DevOps

and

CI / CD

testing pipelines.
