We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager with 10+ years of expertise in satellite interception systems or related communication technologies. The role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, and operational assistance to government, defence, and intelligence clients using advanced interception and monitoring platforms. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of satellite communication systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver support in sensitive, mission-critical environments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide L1 / L2 customer support for satellite interception and monitoring systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in real-time operational environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct system health checks, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring to ensure uninterrupted availability of mission-critical systems.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, operational reports, and user training for clients.
- Assist customers with installation, configuration, integration, and tuning of RF equipment with the Antenna in their environment.
- Maintain accurate case documentation, solution articles, and internal knowledge base content.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide detailed and clear resolution paths.
- Assist in system upgrades, patch deployments, and configuration changes.
- Ensure adherence to strict security, confidentiality, and operational protocols when handling sensitive client information.
- Provide on-site or remote support as per project and client requirements, including occasional travel .
- Adhere to high-quality work standards.
- Responsible for maintaining Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Vehere’s information assets including business critical information.
Skills and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.10+ years of experience in customer or technical support for satellite communications, telecom systems, or interception / monitoring platforms.MUST - Strong understanding of satellite communication systems (C-band, Ku-band, Ka-band, etc.), RF fundamentals, and antenna systems.Hands-on experience with Linux / Unix environments, networking protocols (TCP / IP, UDP, VoIP, TLS / SSL), and troubleshooting tools.Familiarity with managed switches and configuring them.Familiarity with interception systems, monitoring centres, or lawful interception (LIS / LIM) technologies is desirable.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure in mission-critical scenarios.Strong client-facing and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.Experience with ticketing systems, SLA-driven support models, and remote diagnostic tools.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams .RF Skills :
Strong knowledge of GSM, UMTS, Satellite, and LTE domains.Functional understanding of RF transmitters and receivers.Familiarity with RF subsystems such as Antenna Theory, BDC, and LNA.Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF hardware.Proficiency in using tools such as the Spectrum Analyser and Vector Network. An analyser (VNA) and an Oscilloscope for signal analysisPreferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of satellite links, interference troubleshooting, and performance optimization.Experience in government or defence projects with high-security operational requirements.Understanding of integration between satellite interception systems and monitoring centers
