Core responsibilities
- Quality Systems Management : Implementing and overseeing Quality Management Systems (QMS), including change control, deviations, CAPA, and OOS / OOT investigations.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensuring all operations comply with regulatory guidelines such as cGMP, GLP, and other relevant standards (e.g., Schedule M / WHO-GMP).
- Validation : Managing and executing various validation activities for products, processes, and equipment.
- Quality Control : Managing the quality control team and implementing stringent testing procedures, including stability studies and release testing.
- Complaint Handling : Investigating and resolving market complaints and non-conformance products.
- Audits : Ensuring audit readiness for internal, external, and regulatory inspections.
- Continuous Improvement : Driving continuous improvement initiatives, often using Lean Six Sigma principles, to optimize processes and reduce complaints.
Required skills and qualifications
Education : A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related science field (e.g., B.Pharm, B.Sc, M.Sc).Experience : Several years of experience in QA / QC within a regulated pharmaceutical or cosmetic manufacturing environment is typically required.Technical Skills : Familiarity with specific techniques like HPLC and GC, and a strong understanding of quality control procedures.Soft Skills : Leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication skills are essential for managing teams and driving quality culture.
