Description GSPANN is hiring an SAP EDI & EWM Consultant with expertise in warehouse management and EDI integrations. The role involves configuring SAP EWM, managing IDoc-based integrations, and working with middleware tools to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Configure and support the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module, including functionalities for inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, physical inventory, and radio frequency (RF) transactions.
- Enhance and map warehouse processes, such as putaway, picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
- Integrate SAP EWM with core SAP ECC or SAP S / 4HANA systems to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Support labor management and warehouse monitoring, and optimize warehouse task execution.
- Participate in SAP EWM implementations, rollouts, and migration projects to deploy scalable warehouse solutions.
- Design and maintain RF transactions and mobile solutions for warehouse execution tasks.
- Support EDI integrations across trading partners, carriers, and customers using standard transactions like 850 (Purchase Order), 856 (ASN), 810 (Invoice), 940 (Shipping Order), 945 (Shipping Confirmation), 943 (Warehouse Stock Transfer), and 944 (Receipt Acknowledgement).
- Configure EDI settings, including partner profiles, ports, segments, and Intermediate Documents (IDocs) in SAP.
- Monitor and troubleshoot IDoc processing issues using transactions such as WE02, WE05, and BD87.
- Coordinate with Value-Added Networks (VANs) and middleware teams including Seeburger, IBM Sterling, MuleSoft, and SAP Process Integration / Process Orchestration (PI / PO).
- Collaborate with external partners to test, validate, and support EDI communications and data integrity.
Skills and Experience
5+ years of experience in SAP EWM and EDI integration.Gain experience in SAP S / 4HANA Embedded EWM or Decentralized EWM environments.Use SAP Integration Suite or Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for EDI and third-party integrations.Explore SAP Transportation Management (TM) or Yard Logistics for extended supply chain visibility.Apply basic ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) debugging or enhancement techniques to support technical tasks.Demonstrate deep understanding of warehouse management operations and processes.Show proficiency in IDoc structures, custom segments, and EDI standards like ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.Configure SAP EWM objects including Storage Types, Warehouse Process Types, Handling Units, and RF Framework components.Debug IDocs and resolve data mapping or interface issues effectively.Communicate clearly and interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.Work well with cross-functional teams, especially those in Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI), and Logistics Execution.
