VS Code Extension Developer – Internship (PPO → Founding Engineer Track)

Location : Remote / Bangalore

Type : Internship (3–6 Months) with PPO & Potential Founding Engineer Role for exceptional performance

About Us

We are a fast-scaling cybersecurity startup working with top fintech companies and banks in India, building a next-gen developer-first security platform that integrates directly into IDEs, CI / CD pipelines, and runtime systems.

Our goal is to redefine how developers think about security, and the VS Code Extension will be a core part of that experience.

Role

You'll build a production-grade VS Code Extension, tightly integrated with our security analysis APIs, delivering inline vulnerability insights, quick-fix suggestions, and intelligent developer guidance right inside the editor.

What You’ll Build

  • Full-fledged VS Code extension with custom views, diagnostics, hover tooltips, commands, and config panels.
  • API integration with our GraphQL / REST backend for live vulnerability feedback.
  • Context-aware UX for developer-first security workflow.
  • Extensions can later expand to JetBrains plugin ecosystem — you may lead that too.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have previously built a VS Code Extension — GitHub or Marketplace link required.
  • Strong in TypeScript, Node.js, Extension API, and event-driven architecture.
  • Understands developer experience and designs for usability, not just functionality.
  • Bonus : Familiar with static analysis, AST tools, or code parsing.
