Job description

Role Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Kafka Solution Architect to design, develop, and maintain robust event driven architecture. This role is ideal for an experienced hands-on solution architect with strong full stack development experience in Java and NodeJS with Kafka who can drive business and technical teams to drive adoption to event driven architecture

  • Experience in system design, software architecture and design in AWS cloud for micro services and UI based applications
  • Experience setting up Multi region Kafka clusters; mirror makers; DR; Zookeepers; KRaft; replication from scratch.
  • Experience in event driven architecture and expertise in application development with a deep focus on solutions
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka Brokers and understanding of underlying functionality.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka streams and KSQL DB and understanding of underlying implementation and functionality.
  • Hands-on experience with Confluent or Apache Kafka connectors and functionality.
  • Good understanding of Kafka client (Producer and consumer) functionality.
  • Ability to design and implement technical solutions for the Kafka On-prem and Cloud platform.
  • Deep knowledge of Kafka best practices and implementation experience
  • Responsible for assisting producer and consumer applications to onboard on to Kafka.
  • Good experience with troubleshooting Kafka platform issues.
  • Able to troubleshoot and support producer and consumer issues and provide support to application teams.
  • Enhance the security of the Kafka platform through access control, encryption, and regular security audits

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in Confluent Platform implementation and maintenance
  • Overall, 17 years in Software Architect role with a minimum 4 years of experience in Kafka and event driven architecture
  • Skilled in using Helm and Kubernetes for deploying Kafka
  • Strong Architecture, programming and design skills in Java and NodeJS
  • Web Development : JavaScript / Typescript, Angular, HTML, CSS
  • Backend & API Development : Building robust backend services, including RESTful APIs and microservices architectures, Java Spring Boot, NodeJS.
  • Background in programming with Python or Shell Scripting and Avro or equivalent for schema validation
  • Proficiency in Cloud technologies across AWS covering the various services involved compute, networking, storage, Serverless, IAM, Lambda, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB and PostgreSQL aspects
  • Experience in Logistics domain is desired
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, collaboration and process facilitation skills

    • Travel : Short term business travel to Belgium HQ, as needed.
