About the Role
We are seeking a high-capacity, strategic Chief of Staff to partner directly with the Founder of a late-stage Fintech startup during a critical period of scale. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and can operate as a true force-multiplier—bridging vision and execution, improving operational clarity, and driving cross-functional alignment across a complex, regulated domain like fintech.
Responsibilities
Strategic Execution & Planning
- Convert the Founder’s fintech vision into structured operating plans, OKRs, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive strategic initiatives across product, risk, compliance, credit, GTM, and operations.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities across the organization and recommend data-backed solutions.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning cycles and ensure cross-functional alignment.
Founder Leverage
Serve as a strategic thought partner—bringing clarity, structure, and insight to Founder priorities.Prepare briefs, insights, and recommendations for board, investor, regulatory, and leadership meetings.Represent the Founder in internal and external forums when needed.Manage the flow of communication to ensure effective decision-making and follow-through.Cross-Functional Coordination
Facilitate collaboration across product, engineering, compliance, credit, finance, and GTM teams.Own and optimize key operating cadences : leadership syncs, business reviews, and all-hands.Ensure fintech-specific priorities (risk, compliance, regulatory requirements, fraud, payments operations) are aligned across teams.Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives
Lead high-impact cross-functional projects such as :New fintech product launchesRegulatory readiness initiativesCredit, risk, and fraud optimizationStrategic partnerships with banks, NBFCs, networks, or ecosystem playersConduct research, analysis, and due diligence to support strategic decisions.Build new processes, systems, or internal structures to support scale and compliance.Board, Investor & External Stakeholder Management
Own preparation for board meetings—fintech KPIs, unit economics, risk metrics, and growth narrative.Support investor reporting, fundraising materials, and strategic partnerships.Coordinate select engagements with financial institutions, auditors, regulators, or partners.Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in one of the following :Top-tier consulting (MBB)Venture Capital (with fintech exposure preferred)High-growth startup operator roles (strategy, bizops, product, risk, or special projects—fintech experience a plus)Strong strategic thinking with the ability to operate in both high-level vision and granular detail.Exceptional communication—clear, structured, and executive-ready.Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives without formal authority.Comfort working in a regulated, data-driven, fast-moving fintech environment.High EQ, strong stakeholder management, and ability to handle confidential information.
