Position Overview :
We are seeking a Node.js Tech Lead with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Node.js, PostgreSQL, Express, AWS, DevOps, Application Security, Redis, Kafka, and AWS Redshift. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, architecting robust backend solutions, and ensuring the platform's high availability, security, and scalability. You will play a critical part in guiding technical decisions, mentoring team members, and spearheading best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technical Leadership :
- Lead and mentor a team of Node.js developers, providing guidance on design, coding, and performance optimization.
- Oversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and drive continuous improvement.
2. Architect & Implement Backend Services :
Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using Node.js, Express, and supporting technologies.Integrate with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka) to build resilient microservices.3. AWS & DevOps :
Deploy and manage applications in AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda) with a strong focus on automation (CI / CD pipelines).Implement and maintain best practices for monitoring, logging, and infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation).4. Application Security & Performance :
Enforce secure coding practices, address vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with security standards.Conduct performance profiling and load testing, optimizing Node.js services, databases, and caches.5. Data & Analytics Integration :
Work with AWS Redshift or similar data warehousing solutions for analytics pipelines.Collaborate on data modeling, ETL processes, and ensuring data reliability.6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver features on time and within scope.Communicate technical plans, progress updates, and challenges to leadership and stakeholders.Required Qualifications :
3+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js development (Express or similar frameworks).Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL (design, queries, optimization) and caching solutions like Redis.Experience with Kafka (or similar messaging queues) for building event-driven or microservices architectures.Proven expertise deploying, maintaining, and optimizing apps on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, etc.).DevOps knowledge (CI / CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, infrastructure as code).Solid grasp of application security (OWASP, secure coding, threat modeling).Familiarity with AWS Redshift or similar data warehousing for analytical or reporting workloads.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor a development team.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Skills :
Experience with TypeScript and advanced Node.js design patterns.Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS resource provisioning.Background in financial or fintech domains.Familiarity with microservices architecture and advanced monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).What We Offer :
