What You’ll Do

As a Java Engineer in the SuccessFactors HXM Transformation Engineering team, you will be part of a dynamic group that blends software development with quality engineering responsibilities. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, modular, and high-performance code, contributing to both product development and automated testing frameworks for large-scale SaaS solutions.

You’ll work on exciting, cutting-edge projects involving microservices, cloud, automation, and SAP BTP, and will have the opportunity to grow into niche technology areas. We’re looking for someone who is not only technically strong but also passionate about delivering best-in-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, refactorable, and testable Java-based code that supports both product features and automated testing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Development, and Quality Engineering to build robust, scalable, and secure applications.
• Identify, implement, and promote the use of AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, code quality, and intelligent automation across development and testing workflows.
• Contribute to the creation of reusable test libraries and frameworks that enhance code stability, performance, and coverage.
• Understand and apply CI / CD principles, SDLC / TDLC processes, and agile methodologies.
• Implement and maintain automation strategies across various test levels—unit, integration and system.
• Configure and manage cloud environments and application deployment pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in complex, distributed systems.
• Support environment setup, infrastructure configuration, and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in areas such as DevOps, AI / ML, and cloud-native development.
