Job Summary
The Stock Accountant & Petty Cash Executive will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all stock movements across both the edible oil production plant and tin manufacturing unit . The role includes tracking inwards and outwards of raw materials, refined oil, finished goods, tins, and packaging materials, as well as managing petty cash transactions and maintaining accurate accounting entries in Tally and Excel . This position requires precision, accountability, and strong coordination between the production, dispatch, and accounts departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily stock records for all materials including crude oil, refined oil, packaging items (bottles, cartons, labels), consumables, and tin plant inventory (tin sheets, components, and finished tins).
- Record and reconcile opening and closing stock for all materials on a daily and monthly basis.
- Accurately track and record inward and outward stock movements , including receipts, issues, transfers, and dispatches.
- Coordinate with the production, store, and dispatch teams to ensure all transactions are documented and system entries are up to date.
- Prepare and verify dispatch records , ensuring consistency with gate passes, delivery challans, and invoices.
- Conduct monthly and surprise physical stock verifications and promptly report any variances.
- Manage petty cash for daily plant operations — maintain vouchers, record all transactions, and reconcile balances.
- Enter all stock and petty cash data into Tally ERP and maintain detailed Excel reports for management review.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, dispatches, and expenses.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing complete and accurate records.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.2–5 years of experience in stock accounting and petty cash handling, preferably in an edible oil or FMCG manufacturing unit with tin or packaging operations.Proficiency in Tally ERP and advanced MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, reconciliation sheets, reporting dashboards).Sound understanding of inventory management, accounting entries, and reconciliation processes.Strong numerical accuracy, reliability, and ethical handling of cash and inventory.Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with various departments.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Accuracy of edible oil and tin plant stock records.Timeliness and precision of data entry in Tally and Excel.Minimal stock discrepancies during audits.Timely submission of reports and petty cash settlements.Compensation
CTC : ₹4.8 – ₹5.0 lakhs per annum
