Job description

Security Management

  • Supervise agency-appointed security supervisors and monitor deployment of guards.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital security protocols for staff, patients, visitors, and assets.
  • Oversee access control systems, CCTV monitoring, fire safety drills, emergency codes (Code Red, Code Pink, etc.).
  • Liaise with local law enforcement in case of medico-legal cases, thefts, or incidents.
  • Maintain security incident logs, reports, and conduct periodic risk assessments.

Housekeeping Management

  • Supervise outsourced housekeeping supervisors and ensure optimum manpower allocation across all hospital areas (wards, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, public areas).
  • Monitor quality of cleanliness, infection control, and bio-medical waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH / JCI standards related to hygiene and sanitation.
  • Implement periodic audits and surprise inspections for quality check.
  • Coordinate with Infection Control Committee for preventive measures.
  • Vendor & Contract Management

  • Act as a single point of contact between hospital management and outsourced agencies.
  • Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs), vendor compliance, attendance, and billing.
  • Ensure replacement of absentee staff and adherence to agreed manpower norms.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and feedback process.
  • Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws related to fire safety, occupational safety, biomedical waste, and labour laws (through vendor).
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and accreditation.
  • Conduct regular safety drills in coordination with Safety Committee.
  • People Management

  • Provide leadership and guidance to outsourced supervisors.
  • Resolve conflicts, grievances, or escalation from agency staff.
  • Train supervisors on hospital SOPs, emergency codes, and patient interaction etiquette.
  • Qualifications

    Any Graduation with Fire & Safety Training

    Experience of 6-10 years as a part of the Security team deployed at a site.
