Role & responsibilities

• Able to design efficient transportation methods that ensure safe delivery of goods, tailored to the specific nature of the cargo.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of statutory permissions required for the movement of Modular Hydraulic Trailers, including MORTH, Toll, RTA, and border regulations, with proficiency in both Hindi and English.
• Experienced in handling all types of tender inquiries related to logistics budgets.
• Skilled in obtaining budgetary offers from transporters and freight forwarders for tender inquiries.
• Proficient in tender budgeting for both export and domestic freight, ensuring competitive pricing in the market.
• Capable of identifying enroute obstacles and associated costs during the budgeting process for tender inquiries.
• Able to float RFQs, gather freight offers, and compile counteroffers based on transporter capabilities to ensure safe execution of projects.
• Experienced in obtaining NFA approvals from management for freight expenses and releasing purchase orders with timely acknowledgments.
• Proficient in preparing monthly dispatch and vehicle placement plans in alignment with cargo readiness.
• Skilled in coordinating vehicle placements with the project execution team according to the planned schedule.
• Extensive knowledge of multimodal transportation methods, including road, rail, sea, and air shipments.
• Continuously monitors cargo readiness to ensure timely initiation of vehicle placement.
• Ensures safe transportation methods are implemented and deliveries are made in safe and sound condition.
• Monitors safe loading and proper lashing of cargo on vehicles, ensuring the vehicle crew follows best practices.
• Skilled in tracking and tracing shipments using GPS, providing real-time updates to superiors.
• Regularly monitors transit status through live tracking and communication with the crew to resolve any transit-related issues.
• Possesses a solid understanding of required dispatch documents such as tax invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and lorry receipts.
• Knowledgeable in export documentation, port operations, and various types of shipment methodologies.
• Expertise in selecting the appropriate Modular Hydraulic Trailers based on cargo nature and specifications.
• Well-versed in the capabilities and specifications of various transport vehicles and their optimal utilization.
• Skilled in analyzing transport routes, conducting feasibility studies, and identifying risks through detailed route surveys.
• Experienced in conducting end-to-end route surveys for ODC cargo, identifying critical points, and developing mitigation plans.
• Expertise in freight budgeting for tenders and route analysis, with a focus on identifying and mitigating enroute obstacles.
• Strong negotiation skills for finalizing contracts in alignment with company terms and conditions.
• Efficient in tracking and ensuring shipments meet delivery timelines.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in export methodologies to optimize logistics costs.
• Experienced in working with logistics providers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
• Knowledgeable in transport-related regulations and compliance acts implemented in India.
• Capable of understanding transport drawings for lifting, loading, and packing lists for export shipments.
• Familiar with unloading procedures and associated activities.
• Skilled in setting and measuring KPIs for transporters and freight forwarders, implementing corrective actions to meet targets.
• Proficient in processing freight invoices and ensuring timely payment through coordination with the finance department.
