Mechanical Engineering Intern — Harvested Robotics
Location : Hyderabad
Type : Internship (Full-time, On-site)
At Harvested Robotics, we’re building the AI-powered laser weeding implements — robotic systems that help farmers remove weeds with precision, without chemicals.
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern who can help us design and build next-generation mechanical systems for our field robots — including gimbal mechanisms, structural mounts, enclosures, and cooling systems. You’ll work directly with our robotics and electronics teams to turn concepts into real, testable hardware.
Responsibilities :
- Design and develop mechanical systems including gimbals, sensor mounts, and structural assemblies.
- Create and integrate mounts and enclosures for electronics, cameras, and laser modules.
- Design and analyze thermal systems for high-power laser and electronics cooling.
- Run mechanical and thermal simulations (FEA / CFD) to validate designs.
- Participate in rapid prototyping using 3D printing, laser cutting, and machining.
- Assist in tooling, jigs, and fixture design for assembly and testing.
- Support robot assembly, integration, and field testing activities.
- Work with vendors and fabricators for manufacturing, machining, and component sourcing.
- Maintain documentation, BOMs, and design revisions.
Requirements :
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes.Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA).Basic understanding of tolerances, GD&T, and mechanical assembly principles.Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machining, or fabrication tools.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced hardware environment.Enthusiasm for robotics, prototyping, and solving real-world problems.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience designing gimbal or optomechanical systems.Exposure to IP-rated enclosures, vibration isolation, or structural design.Familiarity with FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or similar).Knowledge of thermal management and cooling system design.Exposure to agriculture machinery, robotics, or industrial design projects. Why join us?
At Harvested, we’re not just building robots — we’re building tools that make farming easier, sustainable, and more profitable for farmers. You’ll be working on systems that move from the lab to the field, impacting real farms in India and beyond.
