Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and enterprise system administration. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing and supporting large-scale IT environments, with proven expertise in Azure administration, troubleshooting, licensing, SharePoint Online, and user management.

This role will focus on ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud and Microsoft-based environments while delivering efficient solutions to meet business needs. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with IT leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance enterprise IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Administration & Cloud Management
• Configure, manage, and monitor Microsoft Azure environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security.
• Implement and optimize Azure Active Directory, role-based access, and identity management solutions.
• Support hybrid environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Manage Azure backups, disaster recovery plans, and performance optimization.
• Microsoft 365 Administration
• Oversee day-to-day operations of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
• Configure and manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions, workflows, and collaboration tools.
• Administer user accounts, licenses, and groups in Microsoft 365.
• Implement policies for data governance, compliance, and security.
• Troubleshooting & Support
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues related to Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application-level issues.
• Provide end-to-end support for enterprise applications integrated with Azure and M365.
• Licensing & User Administration
• Manage Microsoft 365 licenses, subscriptions, and cost optimization.
• Perform user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control management.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and audit requirements.
• System Monitoring & Security
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance using Azure Monitor, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, and related tools.
• Implement and maintain security best practices across Azure and M365.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, GDPR, and data protection standards.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and standard operating practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
