Job Summary :
We seek a dedicated Indian Equity Analyst with (flexi-sector, but industrials and manufacturing preferred) to join our investment team. This role involves conducting thorough research, building valuation models, and providing actionable investment recommendations to support portfolio strategy and enhance performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sector-Specific Research :
- Conduct comprehensive research on the sector, analyzing industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Study the competitive landscape, supply chain dependencies, and global linkages impacting Indian industrial companies.
- Fundamental Equity Analysis :
- Perform in-depth financial analysis of industrial companies, including financial statement review, cash flow analysis, and growth potential.
- Use valuation techniques such as DCF, EV / EBITDA, and relative peer comparisons to identify undervalued opportunities.
- Investment Recommendations :
- Identify high-potential companies within our space that align with long-term growth themes like infrastructure development, manufacturing revival (e.G., "Make in India"), and export-led growth.
- Assess risks such as raw material price volatility, interest rate sensitivity, and project delays, ensuring portfolio resilience.
- Portfolio Collaboration :
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop targeted strategies for Industrials investments.
- Support portfolio rebalancing decisions with timely sector insights and updated recommendations.
- Market & Policy Monitoring :
- Stay abreast of government policies, including budgetary allocations, PLI (Production Linked Incentives) schemes, and infrastructure-related announcements impacting the sector.
- Monitor global macroeconomic trends, commodity price movements, and technological advancements affecting industrials.
- Stakeholder Engagement :
- Build and maintain relationships with company management, industry experts, and suppliers.
- Participate in industry events, earnings calls, and conferences to gather critical information.
- Reporting & Presentation :
- Prepare detailed research reports, investment memos, and sector outlooks for internal and client-facing audiences.
- Present investment theses and updates to the investment committee with clarity and conviction.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.CFA / CA certification or equivalent preferred.3-7 years of experience as an Equity Analyst, with a proven track record in the Industrials sector .Strong knowledge of industrial business models, capital-intensive industries, and key drivers of growth.Key Skills :
Advanced financial modeling and valuation expertise.Ability to critically evaluate industry and macroeconomic data.Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, and other market data platforms.Exceptional communication and report-writing skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Preferred Attributes :
