Job Overview
The EHS Associate will report functionally to the Head of EHS and locally to the Factory Manager. This role is essential in ensuring the implementation and adherence to all safety and health protocols at the recycling plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential risks, developing safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Procedures and Policies :
- Develop and implement safety procedures and policies for all operations at the recycling plant, ensuring alignment with external safety regulations.
- Plan and schedule training sessions on workplace safety processes and procedures, educating staff on critical safety principles.
- Monitoring and Inspections :
- Monitor work processes and procedures to identify unsafe practices or breaches of safety regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential threats to life and property.
- Ensure the dissemination of relevant safety guidelines to all staff, and maintain safety signs to warn of potential hazards.
- Must have detailed knowldge and experience in handling Fire Safety, Industrial Safety,Electrical waste ,Chemical Waste,Hazordous Waste.
- Incident Management :
- Maintain records of adverse incidents, events, and accidents.
- Conduct inquiries and analyze incidents to determine root causes, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Take necessary steps during accidents to protect life and property, supervising the team to mitigate effects during emergency situations.
- Collaboration and Reporting :
- Collaborate with law enforcement agents and investigators to address workplace accidents.
- Prepare and present periodic safety operation reports to company management.
- Implement and sustain chemical safety procedures for the safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
- Develop and implement Emergency Action Plans and Hazardous Waste Operations.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or diploma in engineering and safety.2.5 to 3 years of experience in safety management within recycling, metals, or chemical plants.Madatory certifications or courses in EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) are preferred.First aid and firefighting certifications.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.Skills Required
