Our client MNK GCS is seeking a highly skilled and technically competent Catastrophe Modeler to provide high-quality catastrophe modeling, risk quantification, and analytics support for underwriting, pricing and portfolio management across MNK Group’s operating companies. The Catastrophe Modeler will prepare, cleanse, and analyze large exposure datasets, run catastrophe risk models (Verisk Touchstone), and deliver actionable risk insights to support underwriting, pricing, accumulation management, and regulatory requirements (including AM Best rating support).
The Catastrophe Modeler will be part of an cross functional team (mainly Actuarial, IT and Underwriting) that will build a pricing tool.

Responsibilities
- Cleanse, validate, and map exposure data from underwriting submissions for input into catastrophe modeling platforms (e.g., Verisk Touchstone).
- Run catastrophe models and interpret model outputs for various perils (hurricane, earthquake, flood, etc.) and geographies.
- Perform geocoding, address correction, and standardization on client / portfolio data.
- Provide technical support to underwriters and brokers on risk analysis, accumulations, and pricing.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams on scenario analysis, stress testing, and AM Best-aligned reporting.
- Analyze and document exposure changes, model assumptions, and reporting results.
- Support data quality initiatives, process documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data standards and workflow automation.
- Participate in research and development to enhance analytics, explore new models, and integrate new data sources as directed.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders on exposure summaries and risk insights.
- Stay up to date with catastrophe modeling advances, regulatory requirements (e.g., AM Best, solvency-related), and emerging risks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, or related discipline).Up to 3 years of experience (Entry level) or 4–7 years (Mid level) or more than 8 years (Senior level) in catastrophe risk modelling, exposure management, or re / insurance analytics.Hands-on experience with one or more leading catastrophe modeling platforms (preferably Verisk Touchstone).Knowledge of re / insurance processes, property or specialty lines, and risk transfer concepts is preferred.Proficiency in MS Excel required; experience with SQL, Access, Python, or R is an advantage.Familiarity with geocoding, GIS tools, and mapping platforms a plus.Understanding of regulatory frameworks (AM Best ERM, solvency, etc.) or willingness to learn.Key Skills & Competencies
