Job Summary / About the Role
ARSoft Consulting is seeking a talented and detail-oriented .Net Backend Developer with proven experience in RESTful API development and system integration. This role requires a deep understanding of backend systems, API management, and integration workflows within enterprise environments. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering scalable backend services for a leading client headquartered in Australia with operations across South Africa and New Zealand.
This is a remote, full-time position offering significant exposure to international projects and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using the .Net framework (.Net Core / .Net 6+).
- Implement secure and scalable integration solutions with third-party platforms and internal systems.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, business analysts, and QA engineers to ensure seamless delivery of features.
- Analyse system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain high standards of code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and APIs.
- Adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and security protocols.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.3–5 years of hands-on experience in backend development using .Net Core or later versions.Strong proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.Solid understanding of integration patterns and middleware technologies.Proficient with SQL Server and Entity Framework.Experience with version control systems such as Git.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.Knowledge of message-based architecture (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus).Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Exposure to CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Understanding of OAuth2 and modern authentication mechanisms.What We Offer
