In this role, you will take ownership of testing across multiple platforms and environmentsensuring that every feature, release, and hotfix meets the highest standards before it reaches our users.
You will be a key part of the product development process, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure features behave as expected and provide a seamless user experienceeven when timelines are tight and priorities shift.
This role goes beyond traditional QA. Youre not just validating requirementsyoure thinking like a user, anticipating edge cases, and raising the bar on quality from idea to production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, UX flows, and technical specs.
- Identify gaps in functionality, usability, security, and performance through both manual and automated testing.
- Conduct regression testing, sanity checks, smoke tests, and exploratory testing across devices and browsers (if applicable).
- Implement or maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Contribute to CI / CD pipeline testing to ensure every commit or deployment is validated automatically where possible.
- Log, track, and prioritize defects using tools like Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Provide clear, actionable bug reports and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
- Own the quality metricsdrive root cause analysis for production bugs and suggest improvements.
- Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to stay aligned with engineering and product teams.
- Provide QA support for demos, feature releases, and production rolloutseven on tight deadlines.
- Quickly shift focus to validate last-minute changes or urgent issues without compromising thoroughness.
What You'll Bring :
Must-Have Experience & Skills :
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software QA (manual, automated, or both).Proven ability to think like a user and identify problems beyond whats on the spec sheet.Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, etc.).Experience with at least one test automation framework or language (JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.).Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test case management systems (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).Comfortable working in Agile / Scrum environments with dynamic roadmaps and rapid development cycles.(ref : hirist.tech)
