Job Summary :

We are seeking skilled professionals to lead the migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL. The role involves analyzing existing Oracle databases, designing migration strategies, executing the migration, and ensuring data integrity, performance, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess existing Oracle database structures, schemas, and data for migration.

Plan and execute migration to PostgreSQL while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Optimize PostgreSQL performance post-migration.

Develop scripts, stored procedures, and database objects as needed.

Troubleshoot migration issues and provide timely resolution.

Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless database integration.

Required Skills :

Strong experience in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

Proficiency in SQL, PL / SQL, and PostgreSQL procedural languages.

Experience with data migration, ETL, or database transformation tools.

Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

Hands-on experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions.

Familiarity with tools like ora2pg or other migration utilities.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
