Job Overview : Assistant Manager – HSE will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety and environmental policies , ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, providing employee training, and actively promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.
Key responsibilities of the function :
Policy Development and Implementation
- Create and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Activities to ensure employee engagement, regulatory compliance and implement the WHSE system to protect human health & the environment
Risk Assessment and Mitigation :
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prioritize preventive measures.Implement control measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents.Compliance Monitoring and Auditing :
Perform routine safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to HSE standards.Incident Investigation and ReportingEmployee Training and Awareness :
Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees at various levels.Developing, planning, coordinating, and directing environmental and health / safety across locationsTravel - The candidate should be willing to travel outside Bangalore to our regional offices and client site.
Profile :
There should be at least five years of job experience and should not exceed more than ten years of experience working in the construction / manufacturing sector.Education qualification : B.E (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil) with a minimum of five years of experience or Diploma with eight of minimum experienceTechnical qualification : PG in Health & Safety course or NEBOSH or RLI approved Diploma in safety course.Work related Experience : Experience preferred working in good construction industries or any renowned Manufacturing industrySkill set
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulationsProven experience in developing and implementing HSE programsLeadership and communication abilities to influence and engage employeesAbility to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reportsKnowledge of relevant safety standards and best practicesOHSMS Knowledge : Should have knowledge on ISO 45001 (Occupational Health Management System) implementation, documentation and maintenance of the system.Language to Speak : Should know Kannada language to speak apart from English. Knowing Tamil and Hindi language is preferable.Job Type : Full-time
