Job description

Job Overview :  Assistant Manager – HSE will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety and environmental policies , ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, providing employee training, and actively promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.

Key responsibilities of the function :

Policy Development and Implementation

  • Create and maintain comprehensive HSE policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Activities to ensure employee engagement, regulatory compliance and implement the WHSE system to protect human health & the environment

Risk Assessment and Mitigation :

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prioritize preventive measures.
  • Implement control measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Auditing :

  • Perform routine safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to HSE standards.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
  • Employee Training and Awareness :

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees at various levels.
  • Developing, planning, coordinating, and directing environmental and health / safety across locations
  • Travel - The candidate should be willing to travel outside Bangalore to our regional offices and client site.

    Profile :

  • There should be at least five years of job experience and should not exceed more than ten years of experience working in the construction / manufacturing sector.
  • Education qualification : B.E (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil) with a minimum of five years of experience or Diploma with eight of minimum experience
  • Technical qualification : PG in Health & Safety course or NEBOSH or RLI approved Diploma in safety course.
  • Work related Experience : Experience preferred working in good construction industries or any renowned Manufacturing industry
  • Skill set

  • Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs
  • Leadership and communication abilities to influence and engage employees
  • Ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and best practices
  • OHSMS Knowledge : Should have knowledge on ISO 45001 (Occupational Health Management System) implementation, documentation and maintenance of the system.
  • Language to Speak : Should know Kannada language to speak apart from English. Knowing Tamil and Hindi language is preferable.
  • Job Type : Full-time

    Workdays : Monday - Saturday
