Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing apparel and accessory collections that align with our brand's vision and current market trends. This role requires a blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit to bring designs from initial concept to final production.

Key Responsibilities

• Trend Research & Analysis : Conduct thorough market research and analyze current and upcoming fashion trends, consumer behaviors, and competitor activities to inform design decisions.
• Design Conceptualization : Create innovative design concepts, mood boards, hand sketches, and digital illustrations (CADs) for new collections.
• Material Selection : Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, colors, and patterns, considering aesthetics, functionality, cost, and sustainability.
• Technical Design & Prototyping : Develop detailed technical specifications (tech packs) and work closely with pattern makers and manufacturers to create and refine prototypes and samples.
• Production Oversight : Oversee the entire production process, including fittings and quality control, to ensure that final products meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Collaboration : Liaise and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, merchandising, and sales, to ensure cohesive product development and successful launches.
• Presentation : Present design concepts and collections to stakeholders, buyers, or creative directors, effectively articulating the design rationale and market positioning.
• Adaptability & Innovation : Stay updated on new fashion technologies (like 3D design software) and be willing to adapt designs based on feedback and market responses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Experience : [Insert number] years of professional experience in fashion design or a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work and successful projects.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and fashion CAD software is essential.
• Fashion Knowledge : Deep understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, textile properties, and the production process.
• Soft Skills : Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D design tools (e.G., CLO3D or Browzwear).
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices and materials.
• Strong network of industry contacts, including suppliers and manufacturers.
• Business acumen and knowledge of fashion merchandising and branding.
• Working Hours :
• 10 : 00 AM – 9 : 00 PM (with 1-hour break)
• Weekly Offs :
• 4 paid week-offs per month (not on weekends)
• Salary :
• ₹25,000 +
