Responsibilities
Part of SCM Team, The Civil Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring civil construction materials, equipment, and services required for infrastructure and construction projects. The role ensures timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and adherence to quality standards while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various tools & systems to prepare MIS reports for management review time to time.
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for Civil construction & Plant Infrastructure
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions, and contracts with vendors.Achieve cost savings without compromising material quality or timelines.Perform cost analysis and contribute to budget planning for projects.Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, PMOMaintain long-term professional relationships with suppliers.Evaluate vendor performance based on price, quality, delivery, and service.Handle vendor grievances, escalations, and compliance issues.Key Skills :
Strong knowledge of civil construction materials and specifications.Solid negotiation and vendor management skills.Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.Proficiency in SAP systemsExcellent communication and coordination abilities.Strong analytical and cost-evaluation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Essential Attributes

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.Desired Experience Level
8 to 14 years of overall experience. 3–7 years of relevant experience in procurement for civil or construction projects.Experience in infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects preferred.
