Job description

This is an amazing opportunity to help scale our US Business as well as drive Beeontrade’s growth globally. You will be joining a team of like-minded, entrepreneurial Account Executives that make up Beeontrade’s growth engine. In this role you will be empowered to make decisions and grow your career.

As an Air & Ocean Export Manager (Night Shift, India) your goal is to stabilize export operations while driving new revenue —owning full-cycle files on CargoWise One and building a diversified portfolio of clients. You’ll have the freedom, responsibility, and coaching to achieve that goal. A typical day might include running a discovery call, tightening a handoff checklist, clearing a milestone exception in CargoWise, or sharing best practices in a peer learning session. If you enjoy variety and ownership, this role is for you—no two days are the same.

  • Schedule : Mon–Fri, ~ 7 : 00pm–4 : 00am IST (covers US time)
  • Location : Chennai India

You Will

  • Operations (70%)
  • Take full ownership of export files (Air & Ocean) from booking to delivery in CargoWise One : bookings, SLI / EEI / AES , HBL / MBL & HAWB / MAWB, VGM / SI, terminal / CFS coordination, drayage / IPI as needed, POD / FIT, close-out & invoicing within 24 hours where applicable.
  • Manage and mentor a two-person night-shift team ; allocate work, QC documentation, ensure on-time milestones, and maintain proactive client updates.
  • Coordinate closely with carriers, airlines, warehouses, customs brokers, and truckers to keep cargo moving efficiently and compliantly (export regs, AES / ACE; TSA / known shipper basics).
  • Act as the escalation point for customer / shipment issues, driving fast, transparent resolutions.
  • Implement and improve SOPs & checklists ; publish a clean night ↔ day handoff (open items, cutoffs, customs status, LFD / D&D risks, billing status).
  • Build / optimize CargoWise workflows, milestones, templates, task queues, and auto-alerts ; maintain data quality, accurate costing, accruals, and invoice precision.
  • Control D&D / storage risk with early-warning triggers and last-free-day tracking; drive measurable reduction.
  • Lead weekly KPI huddles ; run root-cause analysis and corrective actions to eliminate firefighting.
  • Support rate procurement & pricing with the commercial team; produce structured quotes and bids.
  • Help onboard new ops staff by documenting procedures and delivering training.

  • Proactively consult with prospects / clients to understand supply-chain needs and pains; craft value-add solutions and onboarding plans.
  • Generate pipeline (self-sourced + SDR-generated) through calls, networking, and creative outreach; run discovery, present, and close .
  • Retain and expand revenue within your book; identify upsell / cross-sell lanes and modes.
  • Partner with Global Operations & Client Success to drive outcomes, and help build a repeatable sales & operations playbook for expansion.
  • Maintain a structured approach to pricing and bid delivery in a competitive, continuous-service environment.

  • Qualified pipeline toward the quarterly target; ≥2 new lanes closed
  • You Should Have
  • 4+ years hands-on ocean & air export operations on US trade lanes, independently managing full-cycle files.
  • Previous leadership / mentorship experience (shift / pod lead or supervisor).
  • Strong knowledge of export regulations, documentation, Incoterms, AES / ACE (ISF / AMS familiarity a plus).
  • CargoWise One proficiency (beyond data entry) : workflows / milestones, eDocs & templates, task queues, costing / invoicing, dashboards.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, problem-solving, and ownership mindset .
  • Experience with both SME and enterprise customers, delivering to SLAs across time zones.
  • Nice to Have : import exposure (ISF / AMS), temperature-control / perishables familiarity (NJ warehouse), HubSpot / CRM, RingCentral / VoIP, and basic BI / Excel reporting.
